I have bought Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition The 3 new DLC are worth it but not need it, they add 7 new civs and 9 single player campaigns

The Definitive Edition is still the best way to experience a classic game that is still highly enjoyable. Even the Definitive Edition has been out for over a year, and some fresh new DLC helps make the game feel shiny and new again. The moderate price tag ($14.99AU) is well worth paying for what is a worthy continuation of the Age of Empires

On a more serious note, the WHOLE POINT of the DE was to preserve the feel of the original. Age of Empires IV is going to deliver the “newer” and “better” experience that people are wanting. I personally cannot wait. I’ve been part of the DE beta for 2 weeks now, and it’s been real fun, but I really miss formations from AoE2. What makes aoe2 different from other RTS is that the game is much more focused on macro strategy and building. you generally spend about 20 minutes building your town before attacking, in SC 2 or WC 3 the game ends at 20 minutes. this makes it IMO more noob friendly as you can play slowly. Dude, you have not even seen the end of it. I have seen a video in the past. A Chromebook that was priced at more than 500 dollars. 11 Anyway, Aoe is not supported on Chromebooks. Age of Empires IV is good, but still has only 8 civs and it's quite expensive for the content it offers, unless you are A LOT into campaigns. My recommendation is always going for Age of Empires II Definitive Edition, that offers a huge amount of content and civs, has a more active and stable playerbase, and it's also far chea ynhqNW2.
